Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Weak unstable conditions following the passage of a westward moving tropical wave will continue to produce cloudiness and shower activity mainly across the Central and Northern portions of the island chain during the next 12 to 24 hours.

Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rock are advised to be vigilant and to continue to exercise caution.

Meanwhile, another tropical wave located in the Central Tropical Atlantic about 1440 miles east of the Lesser Antilles continues to show signs of organization and could become a Tropical Depression or a Tropical Storm later today or by tomorrow, Wednesday. This system will continue to be monitored and is expected just north east of the area on Saturday.

Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
