Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

Valid from: 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2017

Moisture and instability following the passage of a westward moving tropical wave will continue to generate cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms across the island chain during the next 24 hours. Hazy and windy conditions will also be evident.

Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to continue to be vigilant and to exercise extreme caution as soils are already saturated.

Meanwhile, another tropical wave located in the Central Tropical Atlantic is expected to approach the area late Sunday into Monday.

Moderate to rough seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 10.0 feet. A small craft advisory remains in effect for above normal seas and high winds.
