Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles

A high pressure system is expected to result in a relatively dry and stable atmosphere across the area during today. Breezy and hazy conditions will also be evident.
Thereafter, by tonight into Wednesday, a westward moving tropical wave is expected to generate cloudiness, showers and possible thunderstorm activity across the island chain.
Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslide and falling rocks are advised to be vigilant and to exercise caution, especially on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, another tropical wave located in the Eastern Tropical Atlantic is expected to approach the area by Friday. The progress of this wave should be monitored as development is expected.
Moderate seas are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. All users of the sea, particularly on the eastern coast, should exercise caution.
