Valid from: 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017
Weak unstable conditions due to the presence of an upper level trough will continue to produce cloudiness and scattered showers across parts of the island chain during this afternoon. A relative improvement in conditions can be expected by tonight.
Meanwhile, a westward moving tropical wave with an area of low pressure located in the Tropical Atlantic has the potential to develop. This system is expected to approach the area by tomorrow afternoon into Thursday.
Slight to moderate seas are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers, particularly on the eastern coast, are advised to exercise caution.
